3. Once you’ve configured access, your Google Nest Doorbell with familiar face functionality identifies your neighbor when they come near the door.
4. Your ADT security system will deactivate the alarm and deactivate the lock when the person is authenticated as an approved user.
5. You receive immediate alerts as your friend, neighbor, or family member enters and exits. The app also provides a complete log. 
6. Once the trusted neighbor exits, your smart door lock automatically secures to shield your home.

You can authorize access for any person you wish, such as a service technician, animal sitter, or a friend who arrives when you’re not there. This tool is also helpful during urgent events, particularly when you’re off site. For instance, if a water sensor triggers, your system can authorize event-driven access so someone can switch off the water supply. The handy app makes configuring permissions straightforward.
